  1. A Woodbridge woman was arrested and a Fredericksburg man is wanted by police after a domestic dispute call led to the discovery of four unsecured firearms and suspected illegal narcotics in the apartment — which also had four children under 8 years old. Antionett Jewel Scott, 29, was charged with several offenses including child neglect, possession of a stolen property, and possession of illegal substances and firearms. Jerrell Chirstopher Johnson, 32, was charged with brandishing and violating a protective order; attempts to locate Johnson have been unsuccessful thus far. Authorities report the children were unharmed and are currently under the care of a family member. (Inside NoVA)
  2. A Woodbridge student was charged after allegedly leaving a package and a bomb threat on a teacher's desk at Potomac High School last Thursday. An explosive disposal team from Virginia State Police, as well as a K-9 officer, determined the suspicious package was not a threat to the school. The student, whose name is not being publicly released, was charged and arrested, then taken to the Prince William County Juvenile Detention Center Friday morning. (Woodbridge Patch)
  3. The Prince William County Police Department reminds the community of its "Walk and Watch" community partnership program, which aims to use dog walkers as additional eyes and ears to report any suspicious activities. Officials encourage walkers to stay alert and report any suspicious people, vehicles, or activities to the department immediately. Citizens can call the emergency 9-1-1 or non-emergency 703-792-6500 numbers, or contact the Prince William County Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit at 703-792-7270.
