Woodbridge Man Identified As Second Homicide Suspect In Triangle
A second suspect faces charges in the Triangle homicide that killed a 26-year-old man in Triangle.
TRIANGLE, VA — Police have identified and arrested a Woodbridge man as the second suspect tied to a 2023 Triangle homicide.
Keavon Teddrick Coleman, 27, of Woodbridge, was arrested Monday in Alexandria by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. He has been charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and robbery. A court date is pending.
Police had identified the first suspect, Tyus James Terrell, of Fredericksburg, one day after the Nov. 14, 2023 fatal shooting in Triangle. After seeking Terrell and offering a $10,000 reward, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Terrell in the area of Dale Boulevard and Neabsco Mills Road in Woodbridge on July 10. Terrell was charged with murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was held without bond.

The fatal shooting happened around 8:41 p.m. on Nov, 14, 2023 in the 3700 block of Wharf Lane in Triangle. Officers found the victim lying on the ground and provided aid. The man was taken to the hospital and later died of his injuries. The victim was identified as Quatrail Raynard Smalls, 26, of Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
Police believe the shooting stemmed from an altercation and that the victim and suspect knew each other.
