Young Boys Assault, Rob 55-Year-Old Man In Woodbridge: Police

Two young boys were arrested Wednesday after assaulting and then robbing a 55-year-old man, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Two young boys were arrested Wednesday night after assaulting and then robbing a 55-year-old man in the 14300 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County Police. The boys, ages 12 and 13, were charged with robbery and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., police went to the aforementioned area for a reported robbery. They found that the man was in the area when he approached by the two boys. They assaulted him with a traffic cone and a belt, after which they stole his bicycle and fled.

Officers found the bike abandoned nearby, and were able to identify the boys with the assistance of surveillance video. They then were found at a home and detained without incident. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
