$1.1 Billion Mega Millions Jackpot For Tuesday's Drawing
Only four Washingtonians have hit it big in Mega Millions since 2002, and Tuesday's prize is among the largest in recent years.

SEATTLE — Leading up to Tuesday's next Mega Millions drawing, the jackpot has surged past $1 billion for the fourth time in as many years.
No ticket matched all six numbers drawn Friday night – the white balls 3, 20, 46, 59 and 63, plus the gold Mega Ball 13. Drawings are held at 8 p.m. Pacific Time on Tuesdays and Fridays, and players have until 7:45 p.m. Tuesday to purchase tickets for the next drawing. No one has hit the Mega Millions jackpot since October, when two winning tickets were sold in California and Florida to share $502 million.
During Friday's drawing, 115 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the third-tier prize. Fifteen tickets were worth $30,000 each, because they included the optional Megaplier, and the other 100 were worth $10,000 each.

If a jackpot ticket is finally sold Tuesday, the winner could be paid with an annuity, doled out through annual payments over 29 years. Most winners take the cash option, which will be an estimated $568.7 million for Tuesday's drawing.
Four lottery players in Washington have claimed nearly $500 million in jackpot winnings since 2002, according to Mega Millions records, including residents from Seattle, North Bend, Hoquiam and Ephrata.
