SEATTLE, WA — From restaurant discounts for teachers to mimosas for parents, there are some interesting back-to-school events happening this week as students head back to class after Labor Day.
Here are seven events ranging from fundraisers to barbecues:
Back-To-School Fuel Sept. 7, Town & Country Market, Bellevue: "Join us between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, as we demonstrate ideas for back-to-school eating. Sample some snacks, lunches and easy dinners!"

Melting Pot Back-To-School Week, Sept. 3–6, Melting Pot, Bellevue: "In honor of all educators out there we are proud to offer a special week just for you.Join us the first week of September for Back-to-School week. All who join will enjoy a three-course fondue meal of cheese fondue, salad, and entree for only $33 per person."
Back To School At Purpose Kirkland Sept. 3–6, Purpose Kirkland: "Swing by any Purpose location September 3-6 and let us pamper you with a mimosa and Fall styling in all Purpose locations!"

Back To School Bash Sept. 7, Tacoma Sportsmen's Club, Puyallup: "We invite all schools in Bethel School District to Tacoma Sportsmen's Club for a day of celebration to start off our 2019/2020 school year together! There will be food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, vendors, cake walk, raffle & much more!"
Back to School Tampon Drive Sept. 7, Phinney Neighborhood Association, Seattle: "T2P2 is a nonprofit organization raising pads and tampons for students at Seattle Public Schools. These are much needed items and are not always available in bathrooms or nurses stations. Simply bring a box of tampons or pads to the Phinney Neighborhood Association during the month of September starting September 7 at the Book Exchange where you will receive a raffle ticket for each box you donate."
Social Equity Educators Fundraiser Sept. 6, Clock-Out Lounge, Seattle: "Join public school educators fighting for social and racial justice in our schools and communities. $10 cover goes to Social Equity Educators, but all are welcome and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Bring your kids for the first few hours, although the venue is only all ages until 8PM."
Monka Brewing Back-To-School Beers Sept. 6, Monka Brewing, Shoreline: "Come enjoy a beer with us and SPS educators to celebrate the first week of school and chat about what hopes we have for our schools in the coming year."
