If you're a movie buff, sports fan, or binge-watcher living in Washington State, your streaming experience just got a major upgrade. Comcast NBCUniversal and Amazon have announced a sweeping set of new and extended distribution agreements that bring more content, more convenience, and more choice to millions of customers across Prime Video, Fire TV, Peacock, and Xfinity X1.

What’s New?

  • Peacock Premium Plus on Prime Video: Prime members can now subscribe to Peacock’s ad-free tier directly through Prime Video for $16.99/month or $169.99/year. This includes access to live, local NBC channels and the ability to download content for offline viewing.
  • Universal Pictures Films on Prime Video: Blockbusters like Jurassic World Rebirth, The Bad Guys 2, and Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will continue to be available to buy or rent on Prime Video.
  • Prime Video App on Xfinity X1: Comcast customers can seamlessly access Prime Video’s full library—including Amazon Originals, live sports, and hundreds of FAST channels—directly through their Xfinity X1 or Xumo devices.

Why It Matters in Washington State

Washingtonians are known for embracing technology and entertainment innovation. With this expanded partnership:

  • Local NBC Access: Peacock Premium Plus now includes live access to local NBC channels, which means Washington viewers can stay connected to regional news, weather, and sports.
  • One-Stop Streaming: Whether you're in Seattle, Spokane, or anywhere in between, you can now manage subscriptions like Peacock and Prime Video in one place—making it easier to find what you love without juggling multiple apps.
  • Enhanced Xfinity Experience: For the many Washington residents using Xfinity X1, this means voice-controlled access to Prime Video content, integrated streaming, and features like multiview and 4K—all in one intuitive platform.

A Win for Convenience and Choice

This collaboration is more than just a business deal—it’s a win for customers who want flexibility and simplicity in how they watch TV. Whether you're catching up on The Office, renting the latest Universal blockbuster, or streaming Seahawks games, these updates make it easier than ever to enjoy your favorite content.
