Dad Suspected Of Killing Dead Son's Girlfriend

A Mountlake Terrace father is accused of beating to death his recently-deceased son's former girlfriend during an argument early Monday.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WA — Police on Monday arrested a Mountlake Terrace father who is accused of using a blunt object to beat to death the former girlfriend of his recently-deceased son.

As reported on komonews.com, officers were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. Nov. 12 to the 23600-block of 53rd Avenue West after the unnamed father called 911 to report he'd hit his son's girlfriend and she was apparently unconscious in his driveway.

However, emergency personnel at the scene reportedly described the 29-year-old woman as "obviously deceased" after having been struck several times with what komonews.com described as a "bat-like object."

The father's son had reportedly died from a drug overdose about a week ago. Previously, the father, son, and girlfriend all lived together, but after the son died the father asked the girlfriend to come remove her things from the home.

When she arrived, the pair reportedly discussed the son's death before getting into an argument that ultimately got physical and ended with the woman dead.
