Oso Memorial Fundraiser Planned For Friday Night
The dinner and auction are taking place Frida evening at the Rhodes River Ranch in Arlington.Millions are still needed for the memorial.

OSO, WA – Friday night people will gather to help the of people in Oso. A dinner and fundraiser is being held to help raise money for the SR530 Memorial.
It was March 2014 when a hill buckled causing a landslide that destroyed nearly 50 structures and killed 43 people.

Plans for the memorial were announced in March when the Snohomish County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism announced it would be built on the site of the slide and "provide a place where families can remember their loved ones and gather together."
The county estimates that at least $6 million will be needed for the memorial, an amount that includes everything from building it to conducting the necessary environmental studies.

Organizers hope to have a groundbreaking ceremony in March, the fifth anniversary of the disaster.
The dinner will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 pm. at Rhodes River Ranch.
There will be dinner, live music, and auction.
