CONWAY, WA— A 20-year-old from Conway is among the four University of Idaho students found dead near campus Sunday afternoon, according to the Moscow Police Department.

Police said they initially responded to a call about an unconscious person, but found four people dead at the scene. The incident was labeled a homicide in a news release from the city.

The victims have been identified as Ethan Chapin, 20, of Conway, Washington, Madison Mogen, 21, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Xana Kernodle, 20, of Avondale, Arizona and Kaylee GonCalves, 21, of Rathdrum, Idaho.

“The Moscow Police Department and the City of Moscow is deeply saddened for the families of these individuals, fellow students and friends, and our community during this time,” the department said in a statement. “Our heartfelt sympathies go out to each and every person affected by this incident.”
