WA Woman Escapes Shallow Grave After Being Buried Alive: Report
The suspect is the woman's estranged husband, according to a news report.

THURSTON COUNTY, WA – Authorities say a woman managed to escape after being buried alive in a shallow grave by her estranged husband this week, according to NBC.
The outlet reported that just before 1 a.m. Monday, a Thurston County Sheriff’s deputy found a frantic woman hiding behind a shed in a house’s front yard, according to a declaration of probable cause filed Wednesday in the county’s superior court.
“She had duct tape still wrapped around her neck, lower face and ankles," the filing said, according to NBC. "There was extensive bruising to her legs, arms and head and her clothing and hair were covered in dirt.”

Prosecutors said that Kyong An has not been formally charged yet, according to NBC.
