Bellevue Police Bust ID Theft Ring During Raid at West Seattle House

Police arrested four men and a 15-year-old female while serving a search warrant and say they collected items belonging to victims in Bellevue and surrounding cities.

Bellevue police arrested an ID theft ring of four adult men and one 15-year-old girl Wednesday while executing a search warrant at a house in West Seattle -- and were then thanked by neighbors.

Details were limited, but the Bellevue Police Department said in a press release that its SWAT team and detectives made the arrests at a house in the 7300 block of 16th SW in West Seattle.

“Several neighbors came up to the officers before they left the scene and thanked them for their good work today,” the release said. “Many suggested that they were aware something was going on in the house for some time.”

The SWAT team was used to ensure the safe execution of the warrant after an investigation led detectives to the house.

The release said detectives collected several bags of evidence were that will be sorted through for the next several weeks, with several items belonging to victims from Bellevue and surrounding cities.
