Midlakes U.S. Post Office to Move to Factoria; No Move Scheduled for Bellevue Main
The Midlakes Post Office plans to move to a Factoria storefront in June. The U.S. Postal Service still plans to sell and move from its downtown Bellevue location, but nothing is scheduled yet.

Midlakes will lose a U.S. Post Office, but Factoria will gain one.
The Midlakes Post Office has had plans to close for several years, and now the postal service has plans to move to a Factoria storefront by June 30, according to the U.S. Postal Service.
The new Factoria location will be at 12402 SE 38th Street, at Factoria North Plaza, according to a U.S. Postal Service spokesman Ernie Swanson.

Customers will be able to mail items, buy stamps and rent post office boxes. The letter carriers from the Bellevue Main Office and the Midlakes Station will be moved to U.S. Postal Service property in Bellevue that used to house a vehicle maintenance facility, Swanson said.
The Post Office last year explored consolidating the Bellevue Main and the Midlakes offices into . The Bellevue City Council had criticized the location, as too far out of the way for residents.

"We have plans to move out of the Bellevue Main Post Office and sell the property, but nothing is scheduled definitely at this point," Swanson said.
