Video: Puget Sound Energy's Ardmore Substation Construction Timelapse

Puget Sound Energy recently completed its new Ardmore substation, according to the company, and you can watch it get completed in a timelapse video posted to PSE's YouTube page.
The Bellevue-based utility company bulit the substation and reconfigured existing transmission lines to meet increased demand for electricity in the south Redmond/northeast Bellevue area due to increased residential and commercial growth, according to its website.
The Ardmore substation will be able to expand electric capacity without expanding its footprint, for the projected future growth in the area, according to the company.

The new substation is located at 15335 NE 24th St. in Redmond -- the site's former address was 2245 Bel-Red Road. The company also decommissioned the existing Interlaken substation, located at 2120 152nd Ave. NE in Redmond as part of the project, the company reported.
