Volunteer: Seats Open on Bellevue Boards, Advisory Groups

Want to get involved? There are several seats open on the Bellevue Regional Library Board and Environmental Services Commission, according to the city of Bellevue.

The deadline for the new light rail advisory group has been extended to Sunday June 30, as well, according to the city.

According to the city,  seven to nine people will be on the committee. The committee will take public comments and help guide the city on the permitting process for Sound Transit's East Link light rail project.

The Bellevue Regional Library Board advises the King County Library System and the Environmental Services Commission advises the city council on water, wastewater, storm and surface water and garbage programs, according to the city.

The city council will choose the members of each of these groups.

The deadline for applications for the Library Board and ESC is 4 p.m., Friday, July 19. Applications for the light rail committee must come in by 11:59 p.m., Sunday, June 30. Application for these committees
