The park, located along South Prairie Road, will have a new name chosen via an essay contest.

BONNEY LAKE, WA — The City of Bonney Lake is inviting residents to help it rename a local park.

The park in question is only listed as "Midtown Park" on Google, but that's going to change soon. It can be found along South Prairie Road, behind the Fred Meyer and adjacent shopping center.

If you've got a good idea for a new name, the Bonney Lake Parks Commission would love to hear it. All they ask is that you submit a short essay — 750 words or less — suggesting a new name for the park and explaining how it is connected to Bonney Lake history.
