Bonney Lake Man Found Dead In Kent, Police Investigating

KENT, WA — Police are investigating after a 23-year-old Bonney Lake man was found dead inside a parked vehicle in Kent earlier this week.

According to the Kent Police Department, their officers were dispatched just before 3 p.m. Monday to the Buena Casa Apartment complex along 27th Pl. S., after a witness found the man unresponsive inside a vehicle.

The police department says its officers were on scene within minutes. Once there, they saw the man appeared to be injured and was not breathing, so they enlisted the fire department to forcibly open the car. Once inside, they quickly ruled the man dead.

The victim has only been identified as a Bonney Lake resident, no other personal details are being released at this time.

Officers have said little else about the investigation, though Kent Police do say they've heard rumors about a car fleeing the scene after officers arrive, which they say are untrue. After investigating, they determined that the vehicle was not involved in the victim's death.
