Bonney Lake Prepares For Spring Cleanup
Looking to freshen up for spring? Here are two local events that might help.
BONNEY LAKE, WA — Bonney Lake residents who are hoping to freshen up their homes for spring have a few events this month to look forward too.
First, is Bonney Lake's Spring Clean Up 2021. From April 19 - 23, Murrey's Disposal customers who live inside the Bonney Lake city limits are invited to set out extra garbage or yard waste, and have it hauled off for free.
According to Murrey's Disposal, when the resident's regular garbage day rolls around during the event, they'll haul off up to three extra 32 lb garbage bags, plus up to three bags of yard waste. Residents can also leave out one major appliance for disposal.

Organizers only ask that the trash be left in securely tied bags next to their carts — don't put the trash in a personal garbage can. Each bag must also weigh 40 lbs or less, and they can't dispose of unwanted tires. The trash and yard waste should be put out on the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular garbage day. If you're dumping an appliance like a fridge, make sure its doors are secured.
You can find more information about Spring Clean Up 2021 on Murrey's Disposal's website.

The second event is a document shredding event on Saturday, April 24 at the Bonney Lake Justice Center. It's also hosted by Murrey's, but residents do not need to be customers to join in. During the shredding event, residents can drop off up to three shopping bags full of documents to be destroyed.
