  • The beach and swim area has been closed to the public.
  • The parking at Ball Field #4 has been closed.
  • ADA parking has been made available near the Snack Shack, but general parking in that lot remains closed.
  • The Moriarty lot will now be for watercraft trailer parking only.
  • The volleyball court has been closed.
  • Kayak rentals have been moved near the restrooms and closer to the boat launch.
  • Restrooms remain closed.

Much of the park is still open, however including the boat launch, playground equipment, several sports courts, the skate park and the open spaces of the park.

City leaders say these closures were made to make the park more in line with Gov. Inslee's recent order restricting the size of social gatherings and to help the public practice safe social distancing while still enjoying the park. As part of social distancing, those going to the park are encouraged to keep six feet away from anyone who is not a part of their household, and should wear facial coverings or masks.
