East Valley Highway Closed By Tractor Trailer Rollover
The city says the highway should be closed for at least four hours as crews work to remove the rolled vehicle.

SUMNER, WA — A rollover on East Valley Highway has the City of Sumner warning drivers to find alternate routes through the area.
A tractor trailer rolled just south of Forest Canyon Road, forcing crews to close the highway in both directions from Forest Canyon to Puyallup Street.

The city estimates the road will remain closed for about four hours, while first responders clear the crash and get a tow truck on scene. No injuries have been reported, but drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.

2 p.m. update: the road remains closed and may be closed through the afternoon.
UPDATE: well, apparently 4 hours was wishful thinking. Sorry, but this is going to take a few more hours and keep the East Valley Highway closed in both directions through the evening commute. #TrafficAlert #Sumner https://t.co/SyKnso1R89
