Fear Not, Zipline Lovers: Loyalty Park Zipline To Return

The park's famous zipline may be out of commission right now, but it shall make a glorious return.

SUMNER, WA — Sumner residents will soon be able to zip through the skies once again.

Though the beloved zipline at Loyalty Park is out of commission right now, the City of Sumner has sworn a solemn vow to return it to its rightful working order so that families may delight in launching themselves into the stratosphere once again.

The zipline suffered a calamitous disaster in November (the winch broke) but the city is assuring park lovers that it has the replacement winch mechanism on back order, and will work tirelessly to restore the park's pride and joy to its former glory.

Loyalty park is Sumner's oldest park. It once was part of a 160 acre farm growing hops, but was donated to the city after aphid disease ravaged the crops in 1892 and 1893.
