Lake Tapps Shooting: One Dead, Suspect In Custody
One person has died and another is behind bars after a shooting just after midnight Thursday.

LAKE TAPPS, WA — One person has died and another is in custody after a shooting early Thursday morning in Lake Tapps.
Deputies were first alerted to the incident around 1:13 a.m., when they received a 911 call saying a woman had been shot near South Tapps Dr. E. When deputies arrived, they found an injured woman and tried to provide medical aid while they waited for medics. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Following a brief investigation, deputies say they determined the 33-year-old victim had been outside in a cul-de-sac with a 37-year-old woman and 38-year-old man at the time of the shooting. Officers declared the incident a "suspicious death" and interviewed both witnesses, before ultimately arresting the man at around 8:30 a.m.
