SR 410 Lane Closures Planned Between Bonney Lake And Sumner

Lanes will be closed Thursday and Friday so crews can reseed lands burned by last month's fire.

BONNEY LAKE, WA — Commuters who use the 410 will want to be aware of lane closures that could cause some traffic backups Thursday and Friday this week.

According to the City of Sumner, the lane closures will center on the Elhi Hill area right between Sumner and Bonney Lake, near the intersection of SRs 410 and 167.

That's the same area where a major fire sparked up last month, forcing mass evacuations, road closures and burning several buildings.

Crews will be using the 410 to repair some of the damages left by the fire: reseeding the burned land destroyed by the blaze. On Thursday, that means one lane of traffic will be closed on the 410 heading westbound between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, an eastbound lane will be closed between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Commuters should expect some delays during those lane closures, and may want to plan detours to avoid the area.
