BONNEY LAKE, WA — The Sumner-Bonney Lake School District is hoping to entice potential hires with a $2,000 incentive for new bus drivers.

According to the district, local schools are getting ready for the return of full-time, in-person instruction, but they're in desperate need of new drivers to actually transport students to and from the classroom.

That's where the new incentive comes in. On top of the one-time, $2,000 payment for new hires, the district is offering pay starting at $23.28 per hour. The job also promises free training and flexible hours.
