Sumner-Bonney Lake Schools Back-To-School Fair Begin Tuesday

Families in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District will have four opportunities to grab some free school supplies this month.

SUMNER, WA — The end of summer break is rapidly approaching, and the first day of classes will be Sept 7.

To help make sure everyone is prepared for the start of the 2021-22 school year, the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District has announced four Back-To-School Resource Fairs starting this week. Each fair is offering free backpacks, pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, binders and other school supplies for free to any families of Sumner-Bonney Lake students in need of support.

  • Aug. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Liberty Ridge Elementary, 2202 209th Ave Ct E, Bonney Lake.
  • Aug. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Daffodil Valley Elementary, 1509 Valley Ave, Sumner.
  • Aug. 24 and 26, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Sumner-Bonney Lake Family Center, 1508 Willow St, Sumner.

The district is also collecting cash donations to make the free resource fairs possible. Fair organizers say they're prioritizing cash donations, so they can use the money to buy school supplies in bulk at a lower price.
