Sumner Reminds Residents To Flush Cautiously This Thanksgiving

The holidays are no time for a toilet disaster.

SUMNER, WA — Sumner is reminding residents: don't clog your toilets this holiday season.

We're not sure why, in particular, the city is reminding residents about this, and we didn't ask: life is gross enough already.

Anyways, for some undisclosed reason the city wants residents to be acutely aware of what does and does not go down the toilet this Thanksgiving. Fortunately, it's not hard: basically, if it didn't come out of your body and is not toilet paper, do not flush it.

"Every wet wipe, batch of bacon grease, paper towel, Q-Tip, and dental floss has the potential to join forces and create a sewer dwelling blob of filth, waste and trash that can send sewage bubbling into your neighborhood and homes," the city said.

Hopefully that last part didn't actually happen, and hopefully it won't happen again or for the first time this year. To that end, the city is begging everyone not to flush:
