Tehaleh Celebrates Three Years

Tehaleh Turns Three and Celebrates with Hot Air Balloons, Food Trucks, More

Featuring hot air balloon rides, food trucks, live music and more, Tehaleh’s annual Harvest Day festival is back by popular demand on Saturday, Sept. 26. Visitors are invited to celebrate the third anniversary of this best-selling community of new single-family homes while enjoying free, family-friendly activities.

“This is an inside look at why homeowners and shoppers alike are raving about Tehaleh,” said Scott Jones, vice president and general manager for Newland Communities. “Harvest Day visitors get the whole Tehaleh experience, from the sense of community to the largest selection of builders, floor plans and value in the region.”

Harvest Day festivities will take place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., with the model homes open even longer, from 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Home shoppers are invited to view floor plans and tour 12 model homes from Azure Northwest Homes, Conner Homes, Oakridge Homes, Pulte Homes, Quadrant Homes, Richmond American Homes and Trilogy at Tehaleh. Representatives from Lennar and HC Homes will be on hand to preview floor plans and future model home openings. Buyers will find high value and a large selection of floor plans along with the opportunity to customize finishes to fit their lifestyle.

For stunning, 360-degree views of Tehaleh, the popular tethered hot air balloon ride returns this year to offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains with Mount Rainier’s grand silhouette at the center. An additional balloon, the new ADA accessible Dream Catcher, will allow people of all abilities to enjoy the experience.

Kite Park, located right next to the onsite Donald Eismann Elementary school will feature traditional country-style wagon rides, the Bonney Lake Chamber of Commerce vendor fair, and a beer and wine garden. Those looking for a warm beverage can stop into The Post, Tehaleh’s community information and gathering place, for a handcrafted latte from Caffé D’arte.

Buyers who are looking to move soon will want to check out the seven homes available for a quick move-in. While touring the model homes, visitors can enter for their chance to win an array of exciting prize packages, including a one-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge for a family of four.

Harvest Day offers unique opportunities for runners to explore the community’s extensive trail system on foot with Evergreen Trail Runs’ marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5K plus 1K kids run throughout the morning, with Seattle’s favorite football mascot, Blitz, cheering runners on. Register early at evergreentrailruns.com as the runs may fill up quickly.

In the afternoon, Harvest Day visitors will enjoy professional square dancers performing live from 1-1:30 p.m. while music lovers will revel in the lively Irish-influenced music from local musicians, The Burren Boys. Those who love a sing-a-long will enjoy local karaoke band Rock-Bot. Adults can purchase a beverage and relax in the wine and beer garden while Famous Dave’s serves up complimentary authentic, pit-smoked barbeque.

New this year, children will love finding their way through an exhilarating hay maze. After catching their breath, a visit to the face painting station and a taste of homemade ice cream from the Street Treats dessert truck are sure to put a smile on every kid’s face.

“It’s not every day you get to experience your future neighborhood surrounded by your future neighbors,” said Jones. “If you haven’t checked out Tehaleh yet, there’s no better time than Harvest Day. Who knows – it might be the day you find your new home.”

Tehaleh is owned in a joint venture between two strong companies; North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH), the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of Sekisui House Ltd., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and American Newland Communities, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of Tehaleh.
