• Hornets compete in Rose City wrestling championship (courierherald.com) — White River High’s Buckley-based wrestlers turned in a strong showing at the Rose City Championships in Portland, led by Gaige Cartwright’s sixth-place finish at 106 pounds. Several Hornets piled up pins and technical falls, helping the team place 11th overall in a massive 38-team, 615-wrestler field that also included Enumclaw.

The bi-state committee expressed frustration that planners delayed releasing updated figures until the U.S. Coast Guard decides between a fixed or movable span, a choice that could add over half a billion dollars.
