Fatal crash kills 18-year-old on SR 509 in Burien Sunday night, Washington State Patrol says (b-townblog.com) โ An 18-year-old driver from Normandy Park was killed Sunday night in a high-speed, single-car crash on SR 509 in Burien near South 160th Street, according to Washington State Patrol. Troopers say the vehicle passed another car on the right shoulder, lost control, and struck trees and a building before coming to rest; no other injuries were reported and impairment remains unknown.

Troop #392 Christmas Tree Recycling is Dec. 27 & Jan. 3 - The B-Town (Burien) Blog (b-townblog.com) โ Local families looking to recycle Christmas trees can support Scouting America Troop #392 at a fundraiser drop-off in Normandy Park on Dec. 27 and Jan. 3. Trees can be taken to John Knox Presbyterian Church or picked up within five miles of Normandy Park for a suggested $20โ$30 donation benefiting the troop.

Normandy Park City Council addresses parks funding and public works projects (normandyparkblog.com) โ Normandy Parkโs City Council recently approved a slate of contracts and agreements, including regional work with Burien and SeaTac on Miller and Walker creeks stewardship in 2026. Councilmembers also advanced telecom franchise agreements, considered budget amendments, and supported parks, transportation, and open space projects that shape shared infrastructure across south King County.
