• Update on EWU's Spokane Locations and Our Vision for the Future (ewu.edu) — Eastern Washington University is consolidating its Spokane health sciences programs at the Catalyst and SIERR buildings while moving Business, Accounting, Creative Writing, Urban & Regional Planning, Get Lit!, and Willow Springs back to the Cheney campus. Faculty offices will shift to Cheney this spring, with Spring 2026 classes unchanged and added advising support to help students navigate the transition and campus-life changes.
   

• At Christmas Bureau, moms fulfill Christmas magic finding toys, books for their children (spokesman.com) — Cheney residents Karen and Howard Marsh are among many donors helping the Spokane Christmas Bureau provide toys, books, and grocery vouchers to families in need this holiday season. The program, run by Catholic Charities, Volunteers of America, and The Spokesman-Review, is seeing record demand and is still seeking donations through late December to meet its $600,000 goal.
