10-Minute Comedy Theater Fest Coming To Edmonds
Local Playwrights Provide Lots of Laughs Served Up in 10-Minute Portions.

From The Phoenix Theatre: It’s getting hot outside, but The Phoenix Theatre is cool and filled with laughter this summer. "Summer Shorts" features a collection of 10-minute comedic plays by local playwrights. All in air-conditioned comfort. Produced in collaboration with The Tim Noah Thumbnail Theatre (Snohomish, WA), each play features many of Phoenix’s favorite actors, and well-known local directors. Stories range from sea monsters to child birth and will keep the audience giddy throughout. “Summer Shorts” will be at The Phoenix Theatre in Edmonds July 20-29, 2018, followed by two weeks at the Thumbnail Theatre. All tickets only $20. Plays included in Summer Shorts are (alphabetically):
BFF - written by Debra Rich Gettleman, directed by Eric Lewis

MAYBE THIS TIME – written by Cathy Kaufmann, directed by David Bailey
Because girls just wanna have fuh-un!
THE RIGHT BOWL - written by Pam Espinosa, director by Jane Ryan
When corn met broccoli and broccoli met its match.
SCORING POINTS – written by Diane Nichols, directed by David Bailey
On Game Day, will a proposal be Fumbled, or score a Touchdown?
SEA MONSTER – written by Daniel Tarker, directed by David Bailey
Will the Sea Monster win? Or will the tides turn?
A TRUE AND FACTUAL ACCOUNT OF BIRTH OF MY DAUGHTER- written by Eric Lewis, directed By Eric Lewis
