Celebration For Chaplain Ken Gaydos This Week

The Edmonds police chaplain, famous for his work with survivors of tragedy, will be remembered with a viewing and memorial service.

EDMONDS, WA - The public will get a chance to say goodbye to Edmonds police chaplain the Rev. Ken Gaydos, who died Sept. 3 at age 79. Gaydos was beloved in Edmonds and around the world for his dedication to comforting survivors of tragedies like the Oklahoma City bombing and the Sept. 11 attacks.

Three events this week will celebrate his life, and all those he touched.

Public Viewing - Sept. 13 and Sept. 14, 3 to 7 p.m.
Beck’s Funeral Home, 405 5th Avenue S., Edmonds

Memorial Service - Sept. 15, 2 p.m.
Alderwood Community Church, 3403 Alderwood Mall Blvd, Lynnwood

Burial - Following the memorial service.
