Cold Weather Shelter Open In Lynnwood For New Year's Eve
Guests needing a stay at the Maple Park Church cold weather shelter can get a free ride from one of three separate pickup points.

LYNNWOOD, WA - With temperatures expected to dip into the low 30s across Snohomish County Monday night, city officials in Lynnwood have chosen to open an Emergency Cold Weather Shelter for families and individuals in the area who may otherwise find themselves spending the night outside.
Provided by a network of volunteers from Maple Park Church, the shelter opens on nights between Nov. 15 and April 1 when temperatures drop below 33 degrees. Forecasts for Monday, New Year's Eve, show an expected low of 33 degrees. Tuesday's low will likely hit around 35 degrees.
Anyone who needs to use the shelter this evening can get a free ride by meeting up at one of three pickup points around Lynnwood:
