Summer Music School Free Concert

For over 20 years, the Edmonds School District has been offering a summer music school for students. It remains as popular today as it did at its launch – if not more so. The 135 students enrolled tops the regular 100-plus.

“It is a fabulous opportunity for students to hone their skills and perform in venues that they haven’t in the past – such as the Fourth of July Parade in Edmonds,” said Scott Barnes, director of visual and performing arts. “Plus, 20 student counselors work with 18 staff so the counselors are gaining instructional skills as well.”

On Tuesday, July 19, students will perform an evening concert beginning at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of Meadowdale High School. The community is invited to attend this free performance.
