Bob Ferguson’s proposed $2.1 billion “first step” to repair Washington’s aging roads and bridges, a plan backed by Sen. Marko Liias of Edmonds. The decade-long proposal boosts preservation funding without new taxes, relying on bonds and existing revenue to tackle deteriorating highways, aging bridges, and strained ferry service statewide.
