Fire Department Responses: Plenty of Fireworks Injuries, Fires
Snohomish County Fire District 1 makes 320 calls the week of June 28-July 4.

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 320 calls the week of June 28βJuly 4: 249 emergency medical aid calls, 14 motor vehicle collisions, 29 fires, 12 service calls, two natural gas leaks, one rescue and 13 automatic fire alarms.
June 29
COLLISION: At 12:59 p.m., a car struck other vehicles and crashed through a fence and into the Starbucks store at 148th Street SW and Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the driver to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

June 30
COLLISION: At 11:27 a.m., two cars collided at 236th Street SW and 84th Avenue West in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

PORTA-POTTY FIRE: At 7:30 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire caused by fireworks in a portable toilet at Seattle Hill Elementary School east of Everett.
July 1
CAR FIRE:Β At 8:13 p.m., firefighters extinguished a truck fire in the 21500 block of 48th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Investigators determined fireworks started the fire.
July 4
DUMPSTER FIRE: At 1 a.m., firefighters extinguished a Dumpster fire caused by fireworks at Filbert Road and North Road east of Lynnwood.
TREE FIRE. At 5:04 p.m., firefighters extinguished a tree fire caused by fireworks at 156th St. SW and 60th Ave. W north of Lynnwood.
TREE FIRE. At 9:54 p.m., firefighters extinguished a tree fire caused by fireworks in the 8700 block of Shadowood Dr. eat of Everett.
FIREWORKS INJURY: At 10:25 p.m., a woman was injured when a firework exploded next to her ear. She was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
FIREWORKS INJURY: At 10:40 p.m., a man in the Silver Firs area east of Mill Creek was seriously injured when an aerial firework tipped over while launching and struck him in the face. The 65-year-old was transported by paramedics to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
GARAGE FIRE: At 11:06 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in an attached garage at a home in the 10700 block of 23rd Dr. SE east of Everett in the Silver Lake neighborhood. Three adults and a child were inside the two-story house at the time of the fire. They exited safely and no one was injured. The fire caused about $25,000 in damage.

BURN INJURIES: At 11:13 p.m., a man was injured when he fell into a fire pit in the 100 block of 120th Pl. SE south of Everett. Paramedics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center.
