Looking for Fun With the Kids in Edmonds? Annual Carnival Is Today

There should a lot of fun—and a lot of squeeling—today as the City of Edmonds Day Camp hosts its annual Children’s Carnival tonight from 5:30 to 8 at the playfield at the .
All proceeds go to the Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund, which helps give scholarships to children who otherwise could not afford to attend the camp.
The carnival is actually run by kids, with help from the counselors, and there will plenty of activities, such as face painting and a cake walk. A food booth will have hog dogs and cotton candy.

The children, who have worked with their counselors to prepare their booths, will take turns throughout the evening taking tickets, running the booths and giving out prizes, giving them team-building skills along the way. Tickets for the games cost 10 cents each, and raffle tickets are a dollar.
