See Where Snohomish Co. Measles Patient Traveled

EDMONDS, WA — A person from Snohomish County with confirmed measles visited multiple locations in southern Snohomish County recently, including movie theaters, coffee shops, and restaurants. Health officials are asking locals to watch for measles symptoms.

The Snohomish County case, which was found in a North Creek High School student, was one of four reported Wednesday by local and state health officials in Pierce, King, and Snohomish counties. Health departments are urging local residents to check on immunizations, and to watch for measles symptoms.

Measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air of an enclosed space for up to two hours. Symptoms typically appear within one to three weeks, and can include a rash, cough, fever, and red, watery eyes.
