Switchfoot, Steppenwolf To Play Evergreen State Fair

EDMONDS, WA— Every year, the Evergreen State Fair entertains fair goers with five diverse nights of exciting Grandstand Stage concerts.

The much anticipated concert line-up is here with the announcement of the final two of the five 2019 concert series: Alternative Rock Band Switchfoot and Classic Rock Band Steppenwolf Revisited with special guests Jack Russell and Mike Pinera. These bands join the current lineup: R&B/Hip Hop/Soul artist Aloe Blacc, Country artist Brett Young, and Christian artists Newsboys with special guest Adam Agee.

Monday, August 26 will be a night of Alternative and Christian Rock with Switchfoot performing their hits “Native Tongue”, “Meant to Live”, and “Your Love is a Song”.

After ten albums, multiple hit singles, millions of records sold, a GRAMMY Award, and 20 years of touring, Switchfoot took a brief hiatus in 2017 coming back strong with their new album, “Native Tongue,” in January of this year. Switchfoot’s August 26 show at the Evergreen State Fair starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30-60 and will go on sale Friday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m.

The Classic Rock band Steppenwolf Revisited with special guests Jack Russell and Mike Pinera will take the stage on Thursday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20-40 and will go on sale Friday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m.

Rock out to classics like “Born to be Wild” under the setting summer sun. Band members of Steppenwolf Revisited feature former members of Steppenwolf and include:

• Danny Ironstone- Keyboards (John Kay and Steppenwolf 1980/81, Steppenwolf Revisited)
• Bryan Knapp -Drums (Steppenwolf Revisited, Iron Butterfly)
• Dillon Smith - Vocals (Steppenwolf Revisited, Dillon Cash Band /Johnny Cash Tribute)
• Steve Unger - Bass (Metal Church, Steppenwolf Revisited)

With special guests:

• Jack Russell - Vocals (Great White)
• Mike Pinera (Singer - Song Writer - Guitarist). Former Bands include Iron Butterfly - Alice Cooper - Blues
• One Sultry Day (Local Pop Rock Band)

The wildly popular kids music act, Caspar Babypants, will also be performing on the Community Courtyard Stage at the Fair on Thursday, August 29 at 1:45 p.m.

Caspar Babypants is also known as Chris Ballew, twice Grammy nominated lead singer and songwriter for the Seattle band The Presidents of the United States of America. The show is free with paid fair admission. Fair admission: $14 adult; $10 senior (62+); Free - Youth 12 and under.
