Enumclaw Police: Unhappy Customer Gets Refund, Trespassed From Car Repair Shop

The following information for Wednesday, July 3, through Friday, July 5, was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 3

Attempt to Locate: Around 1:15 a.m., police were dispatched to Safeway near the gas pumps where a man was reportedly yelling at other drivers. Police arrested the driver for DUI.

Suspicious Person/Actions: Around 8 a.m., police found a man and a woman sleeping in their car that was parked in the 1400 block of Battersby Avenue. The woman sought treatment at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Both subjects were warned not to camp in the parking lot.

Theft: An extension cord was stolen from a parked RV in the 1400 block of Pioneer Street around 6 p.m.

Suspicious Person/Actions: A resident reported that there was a white van that drove "very slowly" through the neighborhood near Semanski Street and Griffin Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Police later located the vehicle and arrested the subject on an outstanding warrant from Kent Police Department.

Thursday, July 4

OSA Assist: Around 4:25 p.m., police assisted Enumclaw Fire Department with traffic control at a car accident involving an injury in the 28400 block of SE 416th Street.

Theft: Around 3:04 p.m., police received a report of a large air compressor that had been stolen from a carport in the 200 block of Noble Fir Circle.

Fireworks: Around 4:50 p.m., police confiscated several bottle rockets and fire crackers in the 1400 block of Loraine Street. The police department responded to at least 40 other calls regarding fireworks that day.

Suspicious Person/Actions: Around 7:14 p.m., police received a report of an older model, bi-wing aircraft that was doing stalls and flying low over the residential area in the 200 block of Semanski Street S. The reporting party was unable to get any numbers off the aircraft.

Friday, July 5

Fireworks: Around midnight, police responded to a location near Lois Lane and Highpoint Street regarding fireworks. The subjects were advised to stop for the night. Police responded to at least eight fireworks reports on this day.

Unwanted Subject: Around 10:30 a.m., police were dispatched to an unwanted dissatisfied customer at a business in the 800 block of Stevenson Avenue. The subject was refusing to leave the premises after he was told the vehicle he brought in to repair could not be fixed. The subject was refunded his money and then trespassed from the business.

Suspicious Person/Actions: Around 1:30 p.m., a suspicious male subject was seen looking in to vehicles near Griffin Avenue and Railroad Street. Once contacting the man, police found three outstanding warrants from Bonney Lake. He was arrested and booked into EPD jail.

Suspicious Person/Actions: A resident called police after someone had broken into a shed and put graffiti on the walls in the 2000 block of Kibler Avenue.
