Happy Retirement, Officer Voss!
Long-time Enumclaw Police Officer Dave Voss celebrated his retirement after 25 years of service with city leaders, department staff, family and friends last Thursday.
A familiar face in the city of Enumclaw isn't going anywhere, thankfully, but will no longer be donning the uniform of an Enumclaw Police officer.
City leaders, along with department staff and friends and family gathered last Thursday to celebrate the retirement of Officer Dave Voss from the Enumclaw Police Department after 25 years of service.
According to the city, Voss began his career as a reserve police officer for the city of Enumclaw and was hired full time in 1988. Throughout the years, he has held many important positions within the Police Department such as Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, and Citizen Auxiliary/Volunteer Coordinator.

In 2011, Courier-Herald readers voted for Voss as Best Police Officer in its 'Best of' competition totalling votes from Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake, and Sumner.
Post retirement, Voss and his family will remain here in Enumclaw.
