Two Injured in Head-On Crash Near Enumclaw

Two people were taken to local hospitals Monday morning after a head-on collision on State Route 164 near Enumclaw.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a 29-year-old Covington woman was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant eastbound on SR 164 near Southeast 392nd Street when she crossed the center line and collided with a 2007 Acura TL being driven by a 34-year-old Yakima man just before 6 a.m.

The Mitsubishi came to a stop in some trees on the highway's right shoulder, WSP said.

Both drivers were taken to area hospitals—the Mitsubishi driver to St. Elizabeth and the Acura driver to Auburn Regional Medical Center.
