1 Hospitalized In Gig Harbor House Fire
Three occupants had to be evacuated. One had to be taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
GIG HARBOR, WA β One person has been hospitalized after a home fire in the Gig Harbor area midday Monday.
According to Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One, sometime before 11:30 a.m. their crews were called to a burning home on 87th Street. When they arrived, they found a home engulfed in flames.
The home's three occupants all managed to evacuate the building, but unfortunately one of those resident was injured, and had to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

By noon, the fire was under control and footage from the around that time shows firefighters using hoses to put out the lingering hot spots.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
