3 Cars Burn, Threatening Gig Harbor Home

The fires were contained before they could spread to the home. Now, the Fire Marshal's office will investigate how they started.

GIG HARBOR, WA β€” Firefighters and the Pierce County Fire Marshal's Office are investigating after an apparent arson attack in Gig Harbor early Monday.

According to a report from Gig Harbor Fire, its crews were dispatched to a local home sometime before 8:15 a.m., where they found three cars on fire. The vehicles were parked dangerously close to a nearby home, and the blaze threatened to spread to the building, but firefighters were able to contain the flames before that could happen.

The flames have since been fully extinguished and no injuries have been reported. Gig Harbor Fire confirms the Pierce County Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of the three fires. Anyone who knows anything more about the incident is asked to report it to the Fire Marshal's Office.
