The held a party Thursday night, and the attendees were more than happy about the event.

Chamber President and CEO, Warren Zimmerman was still smiling when asked Friday about the success of the event.

Kensington Garden was fantastic and the 100-plus business leaders that attended were treated to a fun and informative evening. Our first Business Connections Event exceeded everyone’s expectations. My personal goal was to recruit 25 to 30 new members during the course of the evening, but when the music stopped and the final numbers were tallied we had 45 new members," he said.

The evening kicked off with a few comments from new Board Chairman Mitch Anderson and moved quickly into a video of Chamber activities featuring The Black Eyed Peas' song, “I Gotta Feeling”.

The upbeat tempo was a perfect lead in to the networking and introductions that followed. As the networking and business testimonials continued guests were treated to tasty hors d'oeuvres complimented by an excellent selection of wines.

“Kelly Watson and the outstanding staff at Kensington Garden really came through for us. Not only did this event provide a shot in the arm for the Chamber it also gave us a chance to demonstrate through our members testimonials how important Chamber Membership is to the success of their businesses” said Zimmerman.

To attend, business guests needed a personal invitation extended from a Chamber member. The evening ended as upbeat as it started with attendees rocking to the anthem “Taking Care of Business” as they departed. When asked how he was “feeling” Zimmerman said, “I guess it’s best said by the Peas: 'Let’s do it again!'"
