The Tacoma Narrows Airport will be closed for a four-hour period Thursday morning, Sept. 6, 2012, from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. PDT, for runway/taxiway/apron sweeping.
This periodic sweeping is a semiannual requirement of the airport's stormwater permit; a helpful byproduct is that it also reduces the likelihood of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) to aircraft.
