Pierce County Council Meeting in Gig Harbor

The Pierce County Council will bring government closer to the citizens by holding in-district meetings in three communities over the next two months.

Here is the schedule:

District 1, hosted by Councilmember Dan Roach:

  • Tuesday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m., at the Bonney Lake Justice Center, 9002 Main St. E.

District 6, hosted by Councilmember Dick Muri:

  • Tuesday, June 7, at 6 p.m. at DuPont City Hall, 1700 Civic Dr.

District 7, hosted by Councilmember Stan Flemming:

  • Tuesday, June 28, at 5:30 p.m. at Gig Harbor City Hall, 3510 Grandview St.

The Pierce County Charter calls for one regular Council meeting a year to be held in each of the seven districts. Council Chair Roger Bush (District 3) hosted a meeting in the Frederickson area in March. Meetings will be announced in the remaining three districts as schedules are finalized.

The Council normally meets Tuesdays at 3 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the County-City Building, 930 Tacoma Ave. S, Room 1045, in Tacoma. Visit www.piercecountywa.org/council for meeting agendas and other information.
