The Washington Action Committee is holding its first of 12 neighborhood events planned for the residents of the 26th legislative district. This first event slated for Saturday, June 4, at Madrona Golf Restaurant, 10 a.m. is timely for youths graduating from high school and others who have been unable to secure jobs.
It offers free brunch menu with business men and women speakers offering current methods, criteria and standards necessary to be considered for employment in today’s tight employment marketplace.
Future topics include “Neighborhood Home Emergency Preparedness and Planning” and “How to Increase Value in your Home during Recessionary Times”. Speakers at these events include Fire and Police Departments personnel, local government officials and field representatives within the topic of the event.
