Looking to add a little more apple to your life? This could be just the place.
GIG HARBOR, WA β There's soon to be a new place to get your slurp on in Gig Harbor.
The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce has announced a grand opening next week for Locust Cider, found at 3207 57th St Cr, right next to the Inn at Gig Harbor.
If you're unfamiliar, Locust is a Washington-based company, with several cider taprooms across Puget Sound. However, this newest location is special: the company says it recently moved its entire headquarters and hard cider production plant to Gig Harbor, where they've been brewing up cider for the last four months.

Now that they've settled in, the company says it's time to open their tasting room to the public. The grand opening will kick off Thursday, Dec. 16, with a 3 p.m. ribbon-cutting hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. After that, they'll be offering tours, meet and greets, and raffling off prizes through the evening.
Proceeds from the raffle and from cider sales go to benefit the Hydrocephalus Association.
