Gig Harbor Seeks Volunteers For Park Cleanup Event
The city needs some helping hands to beautify a few local parks early next month. Here's how to get involved.
GIG HARBOR, WA β The City of Gig Harbor is hoping to wrangle some volunteers to help clean up six local parks for Parks Appreciation Day.
Parks Appreciation Day will be Saturday, April 9. From 9 a.m. to noon that day, the city, PenMet parks and volunteers will be out at Shaw Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Wilkinson Farm Park, Narrows Beach, Tubby's Trail Dog Park and Sehmel Homestead Park picking up trash, pruning branches, raking leaves and otherwise just making the parks nicer and prettier for the community.
