The show usually lasts a few hours as the parade makes two laps around the harbor, and organizers say it can easily be seen from all points along the shore.

It's free to watch, but also free to take part β€” the Gig Harbor Yacht Club is inviting all boat owners, not just yacht club members, to join their parade. All boat owners have to do to get in line is send their name, their boat's name and length, and the name of their home port or club to ghyclightedparade@gmail.com.
